Who we are

The Corner Cork is a wine lounge in downtown Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Our website is thecornercork.com. You can reach us at info@thecornercork.com, (828) 582-2727, or 234 N Main Street, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.

What we collect

When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect the name, email address, optional phone number, and message you type. When you sign up for opening updates, we collect your email address. Each time a form is submitted, our website also records the date and time, the page, your browser type, and your IP address. We use this information only to reply to you or, if you sign up, to tell you when we open and share news. We do not sell your information. We will only email you about our opening and updates if you have signed up for them.

How your information is handled

Messages from the contact form and opening-update signups are delivered to our business email account, which is hosted by Microsoft 365. Signups are also saved in a private list on our website so we can contact you when we open. We keep this information only as long as we need it for those purposes and for ordinary business records. You can ask us to remove your email address from our list at any time.

Cookies and outside services

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Some pages load content from Google, such as fonts and the map on our Come See Us page. When that happens, Google may receive your IP address and may set its own cookies. Google’s privacy policy explains how it handles that information.

Social media

We link to our Facebook and Instagram pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we do not control how they use your information.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete a message you sent, to remove you from our list, or to tell you what we have, by emailing info@thecornercork.com.

Children

Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
